The 9/12 Letter - By Duncan Conner

Dear Omega Report Readers,

As you know I took a week off about two weeks ago, and then last week I didn’t update the site due to a project I was working on. I am VERY PLEASED to now let you all in on the project that I was working on. A very good friend of mine and one who helps me from time to time with The Omega Report web site, Tim Brown, decided to write a letter to his family outlining what he felt were some major issues going on in America, as well as what he felt from his research were things that we could be facing in the near future.

As he starting writing this letter it became larger and larger. He asked me to help him develop it into a concise but yet thorough piece outlining what happened to bring us to the crisis that we are at in America, where we are now, what’s coming, and how to prepare for it. It became clear to me that the content of this letter was so good, that I suggested we develop a web site for it and put it online for the benefit of anyone who wants to read it and understand what is really going on in America.

The letter is some 60 pages long with TONS of hyperlinks and back up information. You will recognize some of the content of the letter as it will be things that I have posted online in the past, and some of the things are things that he has written, and some of it is information and supporting information that we have gleaned from other sources. The letter is fantastic, and I invite you to check out the web site and use the information for yourself and your family. Also, please pass the link to the letter to as many people as you can. If you are like me, then you have people in your family who don’t even have a clue as to what is going on in our country, everything from being on the break of the Great Depression, Part 2, to having the systematic dismantling of our Constitution buy the Progressives in the White House and in the House and Senate, to the International crises that threaten us each and every single day. This letter will lay out all the facts necessary to make a case for what is going on and exactly how to prepare.

You may read the letter by visiting: www.the912letter.com

Here is the Introduction to the letter…

What is The 9/12 Letter?
It was about two years ago when I began to realize that something not right with my country. Yes, I know people say that all the time. People complain about the politicians, complain about the state of affairs on primetime TV, the ten o’clock news, etc. But this was different. I was beginning to sense that there was something different–something really wrong.

I had never been all that interested in politics. I kept up with the news from time to time. I listened to talk radio. But then about 3 years ago, as I was listening to Glenn Beck, I noticed that his radio shows started taking on a different quality. Instead of the usual comedy and political satire, the host had more of a concern in his voice. He began talking about things that he was seeing that didn’t make sense—things that the Bush administration was doing, problems with the economy, problems with the housing market, financial market, etc.

I remember hearing him over the course of that first year really start hammering on this idea that there was what he called a perfect storm coming, one that had dangers from every side—political, economic, social, biological, international, etc. At first I passed it off as alarmism. I thought, “Yeah, yeah, things have always been bad.”  And so I shrugged it off and ignored it.

But then he started making predictions based on his research and started having certain guests on his show that were economists and financial experts. The predictions were grim. They mentioned that they believed that by the end of 2008 there would be a collapse both in the financial and housing markets. I found this pretty strange because all of the other networks and news agencies weren’t talking about things like this. And so, again, like many Americans, I didn’t listen. I passed it off and thought that it was just some people being a little overly afraid about some things that were really not all that bad. I was sure that nothing like that would ever really happen.

As 2008 drew near, again, I noticed that the tone of Glenn and his guests got worse and worse—to the point that by mid 2008 Glenn was calling for people to get out of the stock market. He kept saying that there was a collapse coming of the stock market and the housing market. I had a pretty nice 401(k) that I had accumulated and all the financial “experts” I talked to told me that that there were no problems and that a “long term strategy” meant that you stay in the market through all the ups and downs. Promises of a rebound calmed my alarms, and so I stayed in.

By the middle and end of 2008 the presidential campaigns were in full swing and the housing markets had really started to take a downturn. I had pretty much stopped listening to any political news that had to do with the economy, and was focused in on who I wanted to vote for president. I was struck by the two nominees that we wound up with. On one hand we had a liberal Democrat who was rated as the most liberal man in the Senate, and on the other hand we had a Republican nominee, who’s voting was far from conservative. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to vote for either one of them.

And I must also say that by this point I had been hearing all kinds of disturbing news about Barack Obama’s nefarious connections with William Ayers (A radical leftist and co-founder of The Weather Underground), Bernadine Dohrn (Wife of William Ayers and also a member of The Weather Underground), Jeremiah Right (a racist black liberation theology preacher and the minister of Barack Obama for 20 years), Frank Marshall Davis (early mentor of Obama’s and a radical Communist), and on and on—not to mention the endorsement of former Nation of Islam leader and radical black Muslim Louis Farrakhan.

Literally this was only a few of the not-so-good acquaintances of Obama’s that was starting to come out before the election. It seemed like every day there were more and more people coming out that had radical leftist connections to Obama. But every step of the way the media never covered it and Obama simply passed them off as loose acquaintances with no real substantive pertinance.

By the end of 2008 and early 2009, with Bush coming on television saying that he had “abandoned free market principles in order to save the free market,” and with the passing of the gargantuan 700 billion dollar bailout package, under the threat of total economic collapse and martial law, and with the collapse of the housing market, and with the huge plunge in the stock market (and with me losing nearly 60% of my 401(k), I knew that everything that Glenn Beck and those other economists and financial advisors had said was right.

It was at that point that I began to really apply myself to learning what was really going on in the world. I wanted to know more about Bush and why he had done (and not done) certain things. I wanted to know why we had elected someone like Obama who was clearly not the person he and the media was making him out to be. And I wanted to know what Glenn Beck, Peter, Schiff, Gerald Celente, and others knew that I didn’t know. And with everything that had already happened, I wondered about what was coming next? I wanted to know what was coming down the road with the economy, and whether that “Perfect Storm” that Glenn Beck had talked about was something that was now becoming a reality.

It has taken me 2 years and ALOT of research. But I have found those answers. And this letter is the culmination of that research.  In September of 2009 I wrote this letter as an appeal to my family to know what was going on, to prepare for a very uncertain future, and to stand up for the United States of America.

Are We on a Slippery Slope to Fascism? - By Jan Markell

I have been troubled as I hear people saying that America is heading down a Socialist or Fascist path very similar to what happened in Nazi Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. But I must now acknowledge that these observers are much more right than wrong. One article that convinced me was

Joseph Farah’s editorial on World Net Daily for August 11, “None Dare Call it Totalitarianism.”  He wrote a follow-up on WND August 17 listing the comparisons to Nazi Germany.

I do not always agree with Farah but I feel he has done his homework on the above.

On “Understanding the Times” radio this past weekend, I had Holocaust survivor Anita Dittman share her insights on this topic. Both she and her mother were sent to concentration camps and were scheduled to be gassed but were spared by one miracle after another. Both were Jewish believers in Jesus. They saw first-hand how Germany had morphed into a Fascist dictatorship.

So, is America on that slippery slope? Unless the church gets much more involved in restoring America, I would have to say yes. It seems secular humanism is the primary religion in America today as churches grow more and more silent and stray from sound teaching. And government is god.

How can we learn from Nazi Germany’s mistakes? Is there time to reverse what is happening in our great nation?

In Germany, “mercy killing” became the policy. Over 270,000 handicapped people were killed because in Germany, murder had become “mercy.” Pastors went to call on their elderly members in hospitals and they had disappeared.

Anita pointed to many other troubling issues, as the people were primed for a dictator with promises from Hitler, even if they were all false. Then the government took over private business, industry, and health care.

Hitler took control of the airwaves. He allowed no dissenters. Barack Obama has recently appointed Mark Lloyd, an extreme Leftist in ideology, as head of the FCC.

He is not bashful in saying that he is going to fine conservative/Christian networks for presenting the kind of programming they do. The nearly $250 million fine money will be turned over to National Public Radio (NPR).

Obviously no network could survive such a fine when radio today is suffering like many other industries. While you may think he will only target Rush and Sean, I assure you that “Understanding the Times” radio is in the crosshairs.

Pastors in Germany came under the gun — literally. If they spoke against Hitler or his policies, they were punished. We have “hate crime” laws in America now that have pastors and other good and righteous people targeted.
all things worked together for good during her ordeal and she lived to see that come true.

Anita Dittman recalls that many of the German people were blind. They were in a daze. And, they were biblically illiterate, even if they were long-time church members. Most churches had been watered down and thus marched willingly along, making no effort to stand for truth. Perhaps, had they been biblically grounded, they might not have caved.

In Germany, Fascism was basically Socialism. The Obama administration could very well be destroying the free-market system — as did Hitler, knowing that people will have no place to turn except to government — and this government wants to institute Socialism. Newsweek magazine said months ago in its cover story, “We Are All Socialists Now.” Not quite yet, but we’re heading there.

Secular humanism and Darwinian evolution were pushed in Germany. The government was god and the leader, Hitler, was a messiah-type figure. Anita remembers what oratory skills he had. He edged his way onto the political stage thanks to his communication abilities and the many promises he made. He had charisma and a charming smile that made the country trust him. Economic times were tough as people didn’t have jobs so Hitler used all the skills he had to win over the country. The Socialist Germany would be the ultimate nanny state and take care of everything. Germany would soon be a proud nation again.

Joseph Farah asks in the first article I referred to, “What do you call it when government-created joblessness is used to promote policies of government control? What do you call it when the government exceeds its authority under the Constitution and ignores any limits of power? What do you call it when the government strikes fear into the hearts of the sovereign citizens it is supposed to serve? What do you call it when government seeks to take over the private and personal health care decisions of people, establishing bureaucracies to make life-and-death decisions and banning unapproved transactions between doctors and patients?”

He continues, “Everything for which America has stood for the last 230 years is under attack — not by angry mobs, nor citizen lawlessness, and not from threats by external enemies. The threat is from those in charge of government. Americans are being seduced into serfdom and slavery. The specter of totalitarianism hovers like a dark cloud dressed up in euphemisms that would make Stalin, Hitler, and Mao Zedong proud.”

We can live in denial or we can call the church into action and individuals to prayer. If America remains a praying nation, some of the worst can be averted. So, will American Christians — and Christians everywhere — step up to the plate? Many believers are in a state of apathy and others are becoming more and more biblically illiterate.

And a nation like America is only as strong as her churches are strong.

In spite of some of the commentary coming from Anita Dittman, her book is a faith builder! All readers report that it is also a life-changer. It puts suffering into perspective. She believed that

Some Community News - By Duncan Conner

Hey all,

Greetings in the name of Christ.  I wanted to write and let you all know that I will be taking some time off this week, which means that I will be taking a little time away from the web site as well.  I will still continue to post news articles every day, however I will not be posting any new articles until next week.

Just to let you know, I am working on 2 major things for the site right now.  One is the series of articles that I have been talking about for some time now on step by step, what some of the things you can be doing right now to be preparing for the days ahead.  I hope that you have already started.  If not, better late than never.  We are in a lull right now–an inflated period where the economy is flush with bailout money.  As you know it started to collapse at the beginning of the year, and then after all the stimulus worldwide, they flooded the globlal economy.  Imagine it like blowing up a baloon that has a pinhole in it.  We discovered at the beginning of the year that our baloon had a pretty serious pinhole.  The baloon was deflating and deflating fast.  So what did we do?  We took as deep a breath as we could and blew into the baloon.  We blew it up really big, then let go, and said, “Wew, not it is blown up again.”  But it still has a hole in it!!!  So not too long from now, we are going to start to see the effects of this thing again.  RIGHT NOW is the time to be preparing if you haven’t already prepared yet.  More on this later.

The other thing that I am working on is a letter that I am crafting to my family.  I sat down the other day and started writing a heartfelt letter to my family (who are mostly non believers).  I wanted to write to lay out a case for the collapse of America, what Obama is doing, and how all this possibly relates to Bible prophecy.  I had no idea I would now be on my 50th page with this letter.  I plan to publish this letter on the site as soon as I am done, just in case it may be of benefit to any of you.

I look forward to taking a little R&R time this week.  Keep looking up, take the extra time to look at some of the other many articles and preparation resources you may have missed. God bless you all and see you soon.

In Him,

One World, One Crisis - Wilfred Hahn

Huge developments are sweeping the entire world in recent times like tidal waves. First, a “globalization bubble” unfolded over the past several decades-one that was popularly thought would never end-then followed by the biggest and most rapid bust of world financial and real estate wealth since the 1930s (in fact, even worse). Next, the most invasive and coordinated intervention of governments has occurred around the world as they attempt to resuscitate plunging economies and bail out failing companies. In tandem, a desperate bout of money manipulation has unfolded.

Crucially, none of these developments were expected by the world’s policymakers or societies at large even a year ago. It all happened rapidly … like a sudden trap. No doubt, these are treacherous times where the unsuspecting are being herded from one disaster to another. Just how can the average household either anticipate or navigate through such see-saw conditions? It can be seen as an early sign of the times … the global period of trouble and anxiety where faith runs cold (Matthew 24:12). What next? As grim as it might seem in some parts of the world, it is not yet the end for the world, nor has the apocalypse begun.

Signs of the Times
No doubt, we are witnessing important signs of various endtime trends. Consider that never before in history-even than during the two world wars of the past century-has global opinion been so galvanized and unified to a common view. From Iceland to Vietnam, from rural China to downtown Zürich, whether business people or consumers, all are battening down the hatches in response to the global “financial heart attack” that has crippled the world recently.

The recent shakings of the false gods of global prosperity have struck fear into the remotest parts of the globe. Filipino guest workers in the Arab Emirates are flocking home, running away from debts and obligations. Possibly as many as 20 million Chinese have lost their jobs in recent times. The evidence is everywhere. In international policymaking circles, harried meetings are being held to find solutions to economic and financial ail. What we see is something very remarkable: Never before has the entire world behaved so much as one monolithic culture.

To illustrate, according to a first-ever worldwide poll[1] on the current financial crisis, 49% of the respondents believed that the economic situation would worsen in the next three months. In Canada and the United States, 61% and 46%, respectively, felt that it would get worse. Only 8% of citizens in G8 countries thought that things might get better. Such a one-sided consensus opinion is a significant. It shows that the entire world has been affected as one. The unified responses of world policymakers, consumers and businesses (at least to this point) is unprecedented.

Crucially, we now recognize that the economic and financial conditions of the world have come to the point where man-made events can impact the sentiment of the entire world almost instantaneously. This is new. It would be one thing if the mood of the entirety of mankind were to suddenly change in response to a nuclear winter or the blotting out of the sun. However, a mass global response to an economically-related impulse is of a different order in several ways. For one, it is generated by the non-physical actions of humanity itself (an emotional event). Secondly, it reveals a common set of affections … a universal reliance upon the prosperity of mankind’s global commercial systems.

This alone is a realization of one of the expected “signs of the times” of the last days. From Scripture, we know that certain economic conditions-from food inflations (Revelation 6:6), to systemic collapses (Chapter 18), to commercial controls (13:17) and other phenomena-will be able to affect the entire world. This is what we already see today. The entire world, from peasant to king, is under the influence of common commercial developments.

Unified for Global Judgment
In Isaiah’s Apocalypse (Isaiah 24-27), we read of the “globality” of God’s final judgments and punishments. Though much of these chapters refers directly to Israel and the Jews, many of the judgments mentioned apply to the entire world. For example, “The earth will be completely laid waste and totally plundered” (Isaiah 24:3). Also, “The earth reels like a drunkard, it sways like a hut in the wind; so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion that it falls-never to rise again” (verse 20). In fact, emphasizing the global span of these events, the word “earth” is mentioned 17 times in chapter 24 alone.

Of course, it only follows that a global judgment must and will apply to a “globalized” mankind, one that is characterized by a unified rebellion against God. If that were not so, why would the entire world be judged and no nations spared? God, who is compassionate but just, was even willing to spare Sodom if only 10 godly people could be found. Therefore, as revealed prophetically, mankind will choose to move to an ever more global, monolithic culture of godlessness.

In that vein, we must note the current longing expressed by many leaders and policymakers to build and pursue global organization and solutions. It is a natural extension of “[...] the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does” (1 John 2:16). One doesn’t need to spin great conspiracy theories involving cabals of demon-possessed people to bring about this result. We see this innate human impulse to pursue greatness and power at work everywhere. In the corporate world, firms conglomerate into ever larger entities seeking a broader global footprint in their respective industries (executives aspiring to be big fish in an ever smaller global pond).

The same hegemonic impulse is shared by politicians, churchmen and global policymakers. There is a natural, fleshly appeal to greater celebrity; to ruling over ever larger domains … even the entire world. Interestingly, all of these corporate captains, policymakers and Christian reconstructionists see times of world crisis as signaling great global opportunity. To them, it is an opportune moment to satisfy the “lust of the eyes.” Documenting this yearning, here are several excerpts from comments by selected global policymakers.

“What is needed is a large worldwide fiscal stimulus to counteract falling private demand. [...] the world must also build the institutions for the twenty-first century economy. Any crisis is an opportunity. This crisis has demonstrated that the destinies of countries around the world are linked. Policy coordination and a global strategy that instills confidence and creates hope will bring a quicker and stronger recovery to us all.”[2] (Kemal Dervi & Juan Somavia of the United Nations Development Program)

“What I am saying is that a crisis is an event which can force democratic governments to make difficult decision like those that will be required to create a North American Community. It’s not that I want another 9/11 crisis, but having a crisis would force decisions that otherwise might not get made.”[3] (Dr. Robert A. Pastor)

“2009 will be a year of learning the lessons of the financial crisis; a year where its reach in terms of time and scope becomes more evident; a year that calls for a new financial architecture to be shaped. At the same time, it will be a year that will test the resolve and willingness of world leaders to collaborate and take action to move beyond this crisis. 2008 has proven the extent to which the world is subject to global risks; let 2009 be the year where the world finds a common agenda to begin mitigating their impact.”[4] (Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum)

[...] the very unsettled nature of the international system generates a unique opportunity for creative diplomacy. The nadir of the existing international financial system coincides with simultaneous political crises around the globe. Never have so many transformations occurred at the same time in so many different parts of the world and been made globally accessible via instantaneous communication. The alternative to a new international order is chaos. An international order can be permanent only if its participants have a share not only in building but also in securing it. In this manner, America and its potential partners have a unique opportunity to transform a moment of crisis into a vision of hope.[5] (Henry Kissinger)

Countless more such comments could be quoted. Times of crisis are seen as an ideal environment to hasten the resolve to build a global ark of man.

Global Arrogance Revealed
Despite the apparent chaos and fears of the current times, we then see an additional condition on clear display: It is the pride and self-determination of mankind. This is evident at both national and global levels. Despite the clear and painful repercussions of past follies-including materialism, unbridled greed, economic oppression, poor stewardship, and consumption excesses-one does not discern even a hint of contrition being reported in the popular media. Actually, quite the opposite is true. While overpaid bankers are the object of much blame these days, the general idea still prevails that there need not be any consequence for past sins.

Also, consider that macro-economists and policymakers have yet to offer any apologies for the massive failure of their theories (these really not any different from sorceries). With very few exceptions, none foresaw or warned that the world’s enormous financial imbalances would lead to a systemic “heart attack.” They were all blind guides, more greedy for gain than honest and forthright. Yet, they are not shy to offer new solutions today. It reveals that macroeconomics is not a science, but rather a fraudulent religion. It is not capable of dealing with the heart of man. On that topic, the Bible is clear: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).

Yet, the world is resolute in healing its problems without recognizing the underlying spiritual diseases. The Bible gives us clear evidence as to the outcome of such human arrogance. Not only are the experiences of Israel and other nations documented in the Old Testament for our benefit, the consequences of the future choices of “global man” are also foretold. A willful rebellion against God is revealed … a stiff-necked independence and spirit of humanist self-determination. To illustrate, let’s briefly review a few prophecies from the Old Testament. But first, we should be reminded of the indictments against Israel.

Many Economic Sins
About Israel, Scripture tells us: “[...] Because you have rejected this message, relied on oppression and depended on deceit, this sin will become for you like a high wall, cracked and bulging, that collapses suddenly, in an instant” (Isaiah 30:12-13). A point often overlooked is that “economic sins” feature prominently in the list of allegations against Israel. There are seemingly countless references to these in the Scriptures. But, what was Israel’s response? It was similar to what we observe today.

“[...] Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria-who say with pride and arrogance of heart, ‘The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars’” (Isaiah 9:9-10). Edom also betrayed a similar humanist defiance: “‘Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins.’ But this is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘They may build, but I will demolish’” (Malachi 1:4). A similar attitude prevails today: “Hah! We will not be reprimanded nor reproved. We will rebuild bigger and better!”

Says Thomas Friedman, the high-profile opinion columnist, “America still has the right stuff to thrive. We still have the most creative, diverse, innovative culture and open society-in a world where the ability to imagine and generate new ideas with speed and to implement them through global collaborations is the most important competitive advantage. [...] the 21st century is still up for grabs.”[6]

This is surely a hopeful thought. But it is human hubris.

Paul Volcker, the chairman of the US Federal Reserve from 1979-1987, in an article entitled “We Have the Tools to Manage the Crisis” (Oct 10, 2008, Wall Street Journal) claims that the world has the tools to overcome the financial excesses of the past. He says: “Fortunately, there is also good reason to believe that the means are now available to turn the tide. Financial authorities, in the US and elsewhere, are now in a position to take needed and convincing action to stabilize markets and to restore trust. [...] the needed tools to restore and maintain functioning markets are there. Now is the time to use them.” Lately, Mr. Volcker is not so confident. Yet, though a respected central banker, his ideas reflect humanist self-determination. These “propping up” policies may indeed prove to hold up financial systems for a time-even leading to what will seem to be global solutions-yet in the end they will not solve the problem of the corrupt human heart.

Indeed, mankind is in a position today where global solutions will seem possible. Rather than stopping to consider the ways and counsels of the Lord, the “global arm of man” is invoked. “We will rise above God … we will make our own future,” reflects the sentiment of our times. A similar spirit appeared evident in speeches given by the previous president, George Bush, following 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. After the New Orleans flood, he is quoted as saying: “Every time, the people of this land have come back from fire, flood, and storm to build anew-and to build better than what we had before. Americans have never left our destiny to the whims of nature, and we will not start now.”[7] President Obama affirmed the same spirit, declaring, “We will rebuild, we will recover, and the United States of America will emerge stronger than before.”[8]

What does God think of such an attitude? To Israel He said: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD (Jeremiah 17:5).

Though God has made man in His image and given him the power of creativity, we are still counseled to put our trust in God, not in armies or the “arm of man.” There is no lack of guidance as to where our real confidence should lie. “Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies” (Psalms 40:4, KJV). “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help” (Psalms 146:3).

Thoughts to Ponder
Are people just to lay back, totally listless and without work and discipline, and just rely upon God to do everything for us? Of course not. When it rains, we are not faithless in having the good sense to use an umbrella. Isaiah provides us with God’s view as to where the separation lies between our achievement and the glory that is attributable to Him:

“Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say. When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and harrowing the soil? When he has leveled the surface, does he not sow caraway and scatter cummin? Does he not plant wheat in its place, barley in its plot, and spelt in its field? His God instructs him and teaches him the right way. Caraway is not threshed with a sledge, nor is a cartwheel rolled over cummin; caraway is beaten out with a rod, and cummin with a stick. Grain must be ground to make bread; so one does not go on threshing it forever. Though he drives the wheels of his threshing cart over it, his horses do not grind it. All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom” (Isaiah 28:23-29).

Here we see that the creator of all “technological possibility” was He who created all things. This is true whether it concerns the necessary technique of “breaking up the soil” to plant seeds, or building $1-billion “clean rooms” to manufacture microprocessor chips. Humanists, however, refuse to recognize the existence of a Creator, arrogating to themselves the ability of self-determination and authorship of knowledge and technology. They doggedly cling to a belief in godless human progress, despite the setbacks of recurring world wars, natural disasters, repeated human atrocities and the toppling idols of monetary and economic systems.

All of man’s achievements: his technology-techniques of production, increases in productivity-and his heaping of wealth, are not of his own making and determination alone. God is the author of all creation, its cycles, its natural properties, both what is in the world and under the earth, and all the possibilities of technology. Technology and financial systems have their good uses. Rather, it is the heart of man that is the problem - the idolatrous attitude of self determination and independence from God.
Ultimately, mankind’s choices will be judged. A period of tribulation lies ahead. After that comes restoration. Isaiah confirms some of the conditions after that time. For example, the Babylonian-based money system will be destroyed and “will never be inhabited or lived in through all generations” (Isaiah 13:20); the rule of elites and the wicked will be finished (Isaiah 14:5); peaceful conditions will prevail (verse 7); and, no rapacious industry will raze the earth in its quest for profits (Isaiah 14:8).

Those who believe in the God of Israel and accept the gift of salvation through His Son, in loud voices will sing: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” (Revelation 5:12).

The Fall Of Capitalism And Rise Of Islam - Chuck Missler

A Muslim group met in Chicago on Sunday to rail against the evils of capitalism and to promote Shariah law. Demonstrators gathered outside to protest the event, called the “Fall of Capitalism and Rise of Islam,” while speakers inside rejected the very Constitution that protected their freedom to speak. In the meanwhile, the number of Shariah courts in Britain has been growing, and not all of the people using those courts are Muslim.

Hizb-ut Tahrir:
The Muslim group Hizb-ut Tahrir held a conference in the ballroom at the Hilton in Oak Lawn on Sunday to blame capitalism for much of the suffering on the earth, including World Wars I and II, world poverty, violence in Iraq and Afghanistan, and even inner city drug use. The conference included videos and lectures by various speakers, as well as question and answer sessions. Notably, men and women at the conference were segregated, with women stashed away in the back of the room to prevent, according to organizers, “people from behaving like animals.”

HT itself is not on the US government’s list of terrorist groups, and claims to be dedicated to non-violent reform. The group’s goals include the restoration of Turkey’s Caliphate, which was abolished in 1924 in favor of Western reforms. HT ultimately wants to see worldwide implementation of Shariah law and government control of major industries in order to cure the economic and social ills of the nations.

Conference deputy spokesman Mohammed Malkawi denied that the group associates with terrorists and declared that HT favored using politics to achieve its purposes. Yet, HT has been called a “conveyor belt for terrorists” because it has produced people like 9/ll mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and one-time Iraqi terrorist leader Abu Musab Zarqawi. Malkawi claims to promote non-violent change, yet he would not specifically condemn Al Qaida and the Taliban in an interview with WBBM-TV in Chicago.

The extent of Sunday’s blame-capitalism montage went beyond just pointing out the causes of the subprime mortgage fiasco or world economic troubles. One speaker blamed capitalism for the fact that he smoked marijuana and his grandmother played the lottery, and another even credited capitalism with responsibility for Michael Jackson’s desire “to shed his black skin.” Keynote speaker Abu Talha argued that capitalists were liable for the world’s poverty, hunger, and war. “It is time to deliver the world to Islam, an idea whose time has come,” he said.

HT is free to gather and promote its ideas in the United States, but its activities have been banned in other countries. It is even considered a fringe group by other Muslims. “They remain on the margins of the community. They’re not embraced by any of the mosques in Chicago, in fact as a matter of fact I don’t believe they can pass out any of their literature in these mosques they have to pass them outside,” said Ahmed Rehab, with the Council on American Islamic Relations.

The conference organizers managed to argue that even the tyrannical, oppressive behavior of Islamic nations was the fault of the US. Ironically, conference organizer Imam Jaleel Abdul Adil affirmed that he would willingly throw out the US Constitution in favor of Shariah - the very US Constitution that protects his freedom to criticize the US government.

Shariah In Britain:
Shariah courts already exist in England. Britain has a relatively large Muslim population, and according to the 1996 Arbitration Act, Islamic courts are legally binding for those who submit voluntarily to their adjudication.

In London, the Islamic Sharia Council has been making decisions on divorce cases for years. The Muslim Arbitration Tribunal (MAT) has been operating in London, Bradford, Birmingham, Coventry and Manchester to handle disagreements between businessmen and mosques. As many as 5 percent of those who are involved in MAT cases are not Muslims, and observers note that there is a “creeping” trend of Shariah acceptance in Britain.

One reason for turning to Muslim courts is their acceptance of oral agreements as binding. British courts may not be willing to enforce oral agreements between businessmen, but Islamic courts are. In a recent case, a non-Muslim man took his Muslim business partner to court over a dispute about the profits in their car fleet company. The non-Muslim argued that the Muslim had broken an oral agreement, and the court decided an agreement did exist and awarded the non-Muslim £48,000.

Shariah, though, doesn’t stop at oral agreements. Sheikh Suhaib Hasan, who was instrumental in introducing the Islamic court system to Britain in 1982, recently told The Times that enforcing hard-line Shariah punishments would give Britain “more peace and security.” Dr. Hasan said he had no desire to come in conflict with the British legal system, and would not push for or expect Islamic punishments for things like theft or knife-violence because Britain is not a Muslim country. Still, in his opinion, punishments like amputating the limbs of thieves would make Britain safer because they acted as strong deterrents against crime.

The slowly growing acceptance of Shariah is of great concern to those who love political and religious freedom, not to mention the rights of women. If a woman is raped, under Shariah in Pakistan, for instance, she has to find four male witnesses to testify in her favor, else the blame for the crime falls on her and she can be punished for “adultery.”

“It puts a woman in such a position that even if she is raped, in the end she is left to face charges of adultery. It is next to impossible for a rape victim to produce four male witnesses. Nobody times the act to make sure that four men are present,” says advocate Mehboob, who works at the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan in Lahore.

Public beheadings, stonings and floggings, amputations, and serious injustices toward women may not be the norm in Britain tomorrow, but these things are expected in countries under Shariah. The HT may promote Shariah as the cure for the world’s ills, but the hard reality is that Shariah promotes the government’s extreme control over a people, and we should all fear when its acceptance is allowed to “creep” in.

Why the “Epicenter” Could Shake the World Sooner Than You Think - By Jan Markell

There is a lot of speculation these days about Israel’s recent missile class warships sailing through the Suez Canal. This was just shortly after an Israeli submarine was spotted, capable of launching a nuclear missile strike in preparation for a possible attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

All of this was confirmed by Israeli officials, and it was a clear signal that Israel is able to put its strike force within range of Iran on short notice.

Additionally, Israel has strengthened ties with Arab nations that also fear a nuclear-armed Iran. In particular, relations with Egypt have grown increasingly strong this year over the “shared mutual distrust of Iran.” Israeli naval vessels would likely pass through the Suez Canal for an Iranian strike.

These exercises are a message to Iran that Israel is serious about defending herself. It is believed that Israel’s missile-equipped submarines, and its fleet of advanced aircraft, could be used to strike at in excess of a dozen nuclear-related targets more than 800 miles from Israel.

Is this just saber rattling with little substance? No. Israel knows it must strike Iran’s nuclear plants before Iran is capable of seriously launching nukes at Israel’s main cities in retaliation. If Israel strikes now, Iran is not yet capable of retaliating with her own nukes. Yes, she would retaliate in other ways, but they wouldn’t decimate Israel. The region could be spared devastation if Israel acted in the next few weeks to a few months. If Israel waits a year or more, Iran will have the nuclear capability to send the region — and world oil supply — into utter chaos.

The Jews ignored the warnings of the 1930s to get out of Europe. They could not comprehend that a mad man had come on the scene who was serious about exterminating all of European Jewry. The Pharaohs and Hamans of Bible times weren’t enough of a signal that such evil abounds then and now. The “new Hitler,” Achmadinejad, is far more dangerous than the old Hitler. He did not have technology and nucleaer weapons.

In 1973 during the Yom Kippur War, Israel was caught by surprise. Israel kept delaying the deployment of troops. Not until the morning of Yom Kippur (October 6), about six hours before the Arab offensive, were Israeli officials convinced that war was imminent, and a mobilization of the reserves ordered. By then it was almost too late. But Israeli action, even though delayed, was so stunning that the Soviet Union threatened direct military intervention. Again, the world could have been plunged into a global disaster all because Israel waited too long.

Israel’s victory in this war cost 2,400 lives and an estimated $5 billion of which more than $1 billion was airlifted by the U.S. during a time in the war when Israel’s outcome looked bleak. There actually could have been a military escalation between superpowers in 1973, all because Israel did not heed the proper warnings before October 1973.

She will not make these mistakes again! It’s kill or be killed now.

Any kind of military strike in the Middle East will affect you directly. You need to take these issues seriously and be in prayer. The Middle East is called the “epicenter” for a reason. It is the center of the earth geographically, politically, and religiously.

It does not help to have America’s president tell Jewish leaders, as he did last week, that they must engage in self-reflection. Obama says there is a narrow window of opportunity for advancing the peace process and that he plans to speak openly and honestly with Israel just as he did with the Arab nations in Cairo. But in Cairo, he primarily praised Islam, his own Islamic heritage, and bad-mouthed America. Obama ignored the rejectionism of the Arab world against Israel and the ongoing wars and waves of Arab terror directed against the Jewish state since the day of its creation. He also compared the Palestinians to the U.S. civil rights movement.

His “engagement” and benign relationship with corrupt and despotic Arab regimes contrasts starkly with the tough talk conveyed to Israel at a time in history when once again, without God’s intervention, Israel is facing extinction if she doesn’t act and act quickly. She knows America is no longer her trusted friend. And no, God would not allow her extinction.

It’s time Obama tell the Arab/Muslim world — and not Israel — to engage in self-reflection! It’s time he tell them that the world’s economy, already in a free fall, could spin out of control if there is a war in the Middle East sparked by Iran’s thirst for nuclear weapons as soon as possible! It’s time he tell them to dismantle all suicide bombers whose target is innocent Israelis (and other victims such as those in Jakarta last week). It’s time Obama leave Israel alone, quit telling her to dismantle settlements, and quit trying to divide Jerusalem.

Obama’s policy can be summarized as “Israelis should give and Palestinians should take.” It amounts to appeasing the Arabs, humiliating Israel and, in the process, undermining the security of the Jewish state, the entire Middle East, and the rest of the world. Right when Israel needs every friend she can get (although the Bible says just the opposite will be the case), when Iranian nukes are being designed to fly down smokestacks in Tel Aviv and Haifa, America’s president is lecturing and scolding Israel and telling her to “engage in self-reflection”? I suggest President Obama exercise some of his own self-reflection! (Also see Ezekiel 38:22, 23 for more of God’s miraculous intervention when no nations come to Israel’s defense.)

American Jews who voted overwhelmingly to elect Obama should not remain silent. They are entitled to press him to adhere to his commitment and treat the Jewish state in an even-handed manner. Together with other friends of Israel, they should discourage Obama from offering Israel as a sacrificial lamb on the altar of Arab appeasement. In urging Obama not to abandon Israel, they would also be promoting the U.S. national interest. History cannot point to a single instance in which appeasement of jihadists or tyrants has ever borne fruit.

Yet appeasement seems to be Obama’s middle name. John Lennon would be happy were he still alive. The world’s superpower, America, just loves to give peace a chance in all the wrong places.

Keep your eyes on the epicenter. It could literally explode in the coming weeks or months. Israel must act quickly no matter what the cost.

Why Perilous Times Are Now in Overdrive - By Jan Markell

You may think that headline is a strong statement so let me defend it. We have now entered the most serious “perilous times” (II Timothy 3:1) in history. President Obama’s speech in Cairo was a total surrender to Islam and a drastic turn against one of our best allies, Israel.

Because of this one-two punch, America and the rest of the world will never be what it once was. Why? Because Obama is the acknowledged leader of the free world as all American presidents are. And he sent the world of Islam a dramatic message that America wants to be their friend and that America respects Islam — even though they continue to be at war with us.

In his speech in early June in Cairo, there was not a single word about Islam’s well-known and checkered past of conquering by the sword. There was no reference to the indoctrination by Islam of her youth to steer them toward violence. There was no reference to the fact that Islamic suicide bombers are blowing themselves up around the world and beheading innocent people. No mention of the “honor killings” against family members who prove to be an embarrassment. And he gave a pass for Muslims to keep stoning their women for various offenses. He also signaled the world that we could go back to a 9/10 mentality.

As Bill Koenig states in his weekly e-newsletter, (which we recommend) “Obama complimented them (Islam) for their religion. Both moderates and radicals heard the speech through the lens of Islam and, they will use it for their benefit to further their religion throughout the world.” The speech sent a message to the world that Islam should be respected even though as he was speaking, radicals were likely planning evil deeds.

The president stated that Israel has no business attacking Iran. This stretches credulity when you think about it. Who do we think we are to dictate policy that involves Israel’s survival? But this foreign policy statement signaled to the radical Islamic world that they need not fear America! It also emboldened North Korea to continue its escalation of nuclear weapons and to ignore all the West’s warnings, as we’re now paper tigers. So while America fiddles, these evil powers are planning a full-scale nuclear showdown with the West perhaps sooner than we imagine.

It was clear from the Cairo speech that America has taken a new direction with one of its best allies, Israel. The president would rather focus on his Islamic-friendly agenda. Israel is obviously an inconvenience and, again, shouldn’t even think about striking Iran who wants her to be history just as Hitler did.

He then showed his disconnect with reality by equating Holocaust horror with Palestinian rights and alleged mistreatment. He did not chastise the corrupt Palestinian leadership as the root of Palestinian suffering.

Concerning the endless “peace process” in the Middle East, there was no mention of Israel’s efforts via “land for peace.” There was no mention that her Arab/Muslim neighbors tried to wipe her off the face of the map in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, 2006, and 2008. In that speech, the president made it clear that America will stand with the Muslim world and craft policies that will lead to Israel’s destruction, although God will not allow that.

Obama signaled to Israel that she is on her own now. She got the message that her welfare is no longer a priority to American leadership. What matters is holding hands with the Arab/Muslim world — the new focus of American foreign policy.

The world is a far more dangerous place because of that speech. The radicals will plot even more, sensing they will not be held accountable. America will look the other way just like we did when a soldier was killed at a recruiting office in Arkansas a few weeks ago. The killer was a man who had converted to Islam. The press and the Obama administration ignored the story.

What happens when Islam strikes terror on America again? The delusional state of our current leadership thinks that such an incident will never happen now that we are friends with Islam. And since we’ve turned on Israel, will God remain our Homeland Security Director?

Fasten your seat belt. Extremely perilous times are ahead. Evil was given a green light to go in Cairo. Now would be a very good time to go out and win the lost for Jesus Christ while there is still time. When more than just the economy crumbles around us, hearts will be much more open!

The Late Great United States - Dr. Mark Hitchcock

“America is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible, implying that it would be crippled or taken out of the picture in some way.” –Glenn Beck (April 2009)

The number one question in Bible prophecy is-where is America in the end times? I’ve been asked this question so many times that I decided to write a book to address all the issues related to America in Bible prophecy. The book is titled The Late Great United States: What Bible Prophecy Reveals about America’s Last Days. The thesis of the book is that America is not mentioned in the Bible, either directly or indirectly and that this silence is significant. The Scriptures reveal that the major superpower in the end times, at least by the mid-point of the tribulation, will be a reunited Roman Empire (Revelation 13:4). This European dominance can only be explained in light of America’s decline.

John Walvoord sees no major end time role for America. “Although conclusions concerning the role of America in prophecy in the end time are necessarily tentative, the Scriptural evidence is sufficient to conclude that America in that day will not be a major power and apparently does not figure largely in either the political, economic, or religious aspects of the world.”[1] Charles Ryrie agrees:

The Bible has made crystal clear the destiny of many nations. Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, Egypt, Russia, and Israel . . . But not so with the United States . . . The Bible’s silence concerning the future of the United States might well mean that she will play no prominent role in the end time drama. A nation does not have to be named in order to be identified in Bible prophecy. When Ezekiel described the future Russian invasion he used the phrase “remote parts of the north” (38: 15). Surely some prophet would have predicted something about those countries or peoples in the remote parts of the West if God had intended a major end-time role for them in the Western Hemisphere.

The fact is that no one did…
Instead, we are led to conclude that the United States will be neutralized, subordinated, or wiped out, thus having little or no part in the political and military affairs of the end time.”

To be sure, I don’t want to see the United States decline. I love this country, but it seems unlikely to me that the United States will play a key role in the end times. But what could reduce America to a subordinate role? What kind of event could bring America to its knees? While we cannot speak with certainty at this point-since the Bible doesn’t tell us-we can make some educated guesses. Several plausible scenarios fit the current world situation. They could occur alone . . . or in a fatal combination. In the last year, we have witnessed major developments on three fronts that threaten the continued role of the America as the world’s superpower. These three fronts are the internal, moral condition of our nation, the threat from the outside by nuclear terror, and the economic peril of a diminishing role for America and the dollar. Let’s update each of these areas briefly. I’m sad to say that the news is not good.

Internal Combustion
Robert Bork, in his book Slouching Towards Gomorrah, says, “American culture is complex and resilient. But it is also not to be denied that there are many aspects of almost every branch of our culture that are worse than ever before and that the rot is spreading.” Sadly, this is true. The national disaster of almost 50% out-of-wedlock birth, a $12 billion a year pornography industry, and 50 million abortions since 1973 are dreadful scourges on the national landscape.

Added to this, the homosexual movement continues to propel its agenda forward, tragically affirming America’s deepening slide into the death spiral of judgment described in Romans 1:24-31. Homosexual marriage has been legal in Massachusetts and Connecticut for some time, but more states continue to legalize it. The Iowa Supreme Court voided the state’s gay marriage ban in April 2009. Same sex marriages became legal in Iowa on April 27, 2009. Vermont, which has allowed civil unions for gays and lesbians for ten years, became the first state to passing legislation sanctioning same-sex marriage. The state legislature had the votes to override the governor’s veto. Same-sex marriage will become legal there on September 1, 2009. Maine has also approved same-sex marriage. More states are considering similar legislation as the dominos continue to fall. The sexual revolution of Romans 1:24-25 has been followed with shocking suddenness by the homosexual revolution of Romans 1:26-27.

The ridicule and derision of Miss California in the Miss USA contest and the federal hate crimes legislation are two more examples of the lemming-like rush to silence any speech or action opposed to homosexuality and same-sex marriage. America is hemorrhaging from within. The Huns and Vandals of moral rot are upon us.

The Nuclear Front
Pakistan is in growing danger of becoming Talibanistan. The northwest region of the country could already be described as a “little” Talibanistan. There’s real and growing fear that the unstable government in Pakistan could be in danger of falling to the Taliban. The dailymail.co.uk reported that “Pakistanan teetered on the brink of collapse today as Taliban fighters threatened to overrun the volatile country.” The LA Times (May 8, 2009) ran an article titled “Pakistan on the Precipice?” General David Petraeus, the head of US central command, warns that the Taliban pose a threat “to the very existence of the Pakistani state.” The number one priority for the United States is to safeguard Islamabad’s nuclear arsenal. Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal totals at least 55 warheads. Allowing these weapons to fall into Taliban hands is not an option. Added to the Pakistan threat, North Korea continues to taunt the world with its nuclear program and Iran is close to crossing the nuclear finish line. The horrifying threat of a nuclear 9/11 is growing.

It’s the Economy Stupid
Thomas Macauley, a British Parliamentarian, wrote these sobering words about the United States in 1857. “Your Republic will be as fearfully plundered and laid waste by barbarians in the 20th century as the Roman Empire was in the 5th century, with this difference-the Huns and Vandals who ravaged the Roman Empire came from without, and your Huns and Vandals will have been engendered within your own country. Tragically, we are witnessing this today on both the moral and economic fronts.

The economic tsunami is being leveraged by powerful world leaders as an incredible opportunity to drastically move the world to a global economy and one world currency. The recent G20 meeting in London, called “The London Summit 2008,” confirmed this sharp left turn away from American prominence toward globalism. Time magazine ran an article on April 6, 2009 titled “Is the Almighty Dollar Doomed?” that chronicles the growing consensus that the days of the dollar reserve system are numbered. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said that the days of U.S. primacy are gone and that “global problems require global solutions.” The G20 meeting is the wave of the future. It has been called the “archetype for future global negotiations.” “It’s the passing of an era,” said Robert Hormats, vice chairman of Goldman Sachs International, who helped prepare summits for presidents Gerald R. Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. “The U.S. is becoming less dominant while other nations are gaining influence.”[3]

It’s not great surprise why America’s stock is dropping. America’s national debt now stands at a staggering $11 trillion dollars . . . and counting. The numbers on America’s infamous debt clock near New York’s Times Square have been spinning like the dial on Clark Griswold’s electric meter. Major financial institutions have been nationalized. Many have noted that America is on the road to socialism. Newsweek’s attention-grabbing cover story on February 16, 2009 was “We Are All Socialists Now.” That same issue of Newsweek ran an article titled “Big Government is Back-Big Time” that highlights the fact that more and more Americans are looking to the government for support. Cradle to grave entitlements have led to what is being dubbed a “nanny state.” The words of Thomas Jefferson are a stark reminder and warning: “A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have.” According to the Bible that’s exactly where this all is ultimately headed under the Antichrist.

The U.S. recession is having a devastating effect on entitlements. In 2008, U.S. debt was 41% of the economy; in 2010 it will be 62% of the economy-a 50% increase in just two years. This kind of debt load is unsustainable. Medicare is already paying out more money than it receives. This just began last year for the first time. The Medicare trust fund will be insolvent by 2017. Social Security will be paying out more than it receives in 2016 and will be belly-up by 2037. Time magazine (March 24, 2008) could be right: “The 21st century will overturn many of our basic assumptions about economic life. The 20th century saw the end of European dominance of global politics and economics. The 21st century will see the end of American dominance too.”

The End of America
Add in the rapture to all these surging problems and America will become a second-rate nation in the twinkling of an eye. The rapture will change everything! While there are believers in every nation, America has a larger percentage of believers than any other nation on earth. Think about the Dow Jones the next day. The bank failures. The immediate extraction of the salt and light from the U.S. may be God’s final judgment on America.

What Can We Do?
No one on earth knows when the rapture will occur and America will fall. In the meantime we must never forget to follow God’s domestic policy for our nation by praying earnestly for our nation and leaders (1 Timothy 2:2) and living righteous lives (Proverbs 14:34), and to fulfill God’s foreign policy by sharing the good news with the nations (Romans 10:15) and blessing the Jewish people (Genesis 12:1-3). We must remember that the fate of a nation is not ultimately dependent upon politics, military might, or economics, but on righteousness, goodness, and mercy.

Celente Predicts Revolution, Food Riots, Tax Rebellions By 2012 - Paul Joseph Watson

Note: While I do not agree with everything that is posted on this author’s site, I do believe that this article, written on the trends forecaster Gerald Celente, is very accurate, and the information presented by Celente is very eye opening to say the least.

Trend forecaster, renowned for being accurate in the past, says that America will cease to be a developed nation within 4 years, crisis will be “worse than the great depression”

The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions - all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week.

Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.

“We’re going to see the end of the retail Christmas….we’re going to see a fundamental shift take place….putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree,” said Celente, adding that the situation would be “worse than the great depression”.

“America’s going to go through a transition the likes of which no one is prepared for,” said Celente, noting that people’s refusal to acknowledge that America was even in a recession highlights how big a problem denial is in being ready for the true scale of the crisis.

Celente, who successfully predicted the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis, the subprime mortgage collapse and the massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar, told UPI in November last year that the following year would be known as “The Panic of 2008,” adding that “giants (would) tumble to their deaths,” which is exactly what we have witnessed with the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and others. He also said that the dollar would eventually be devalued by as much as 90 per cent.

The consequence of what we have seen unfold this year would lead to a lowering in living standards, Celente predicted a year ago, which is also being borne out by plummeting retail sales figures.

The prospect of revolution was a concept echoed by a British Ministry of Defence report last year, which predicted that within 30 years, the growing gap between the super rich and the middle class, along with an urban underclass threatening social order would mean, “The world’s middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest,” and that, “The middle classes could become a revolutionary class.”

In a separate recent interview, Celente went further on the subject of revolution in America.

“There will be a revolution in this country,” he said. “It’s not going to come yet, but it’s going to come down the line and we’re going to see a third party and this was the catalyst for it: the takeover of Washington, D. C., in broad daylight by Wall Street in this bloodless coup. And it will happen as conditions continue to worsen.”

“The first thing to do is organize with tax revolts. That’s going to be the big one because people can’t afford to pay more school tax, property tax, any kind of tax. You’re going to start seeing those kinds of protests start to develop.”

“It’s going to be very bleak. Very sad. And there is going to be a lot of homeless, the likes of which we have never seen before. Tent cities are already sprouting up around the country and we’re going to see many more.”

“We’re going to start seeing huge areas of vacant real estate and squatters living in them as well. It’s going to be a picture the likes of which Americans are not going to be used to. It’s going to come as a shock and with it, there’s going to be a lot of crime. And the crime is going to be a lot worse than it was before because in the last 1929 Depression, people’s minds weren’t wrecked on all these modern drugs - over-the-counter drugs, or crystal meth or whatever it might be. So, you have a huge underclass of very desperate people with their minds chemically blown beyond anybody’s comprehension.”

The George Washington blog has compiled a list of quotes attesting to Celente’s accuracy as a trend forecaster:

“When CNN wants to know about the Top Trends, we ask Gerald Celente.” - CNN Headline News

“A network of 25 experts whose range of specialties would rival many university faculties.” - The Economist

“Gerald Celente has a knack for getting the zeitgeist right.” - USA Today

“There’s not a better trend forecaster than Gerald Celente. The man knows what he’s talking about.” - CNBC

“Those who take their predictions seriously … consider the Trends Research Institute.” - The Wall Street Journal

“Gerald Celente is always ahead of the curve on trends and uncannily on the mark … he’s one of the most accurate forecasters around.” - The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

“Mr. Celente tracks the world’s social, economic and business trends for corporate clients.” - The New York Times

“Mr. Celente is a very intelligent guy. We are able to learn about trends from an authority.” - 48 Hours, CBS News

“Gerald Celente has a solid track record. He has predicted everything from the 1987 stock market crash and the demise of the Soviet Union to green marketing and corporate downsizing.” - The Detroit News

“Gerald Celente forecast the 1987 stock market crash, ‘green marketing,’ and the boom in gourmet coffees.” - Chicago Tribune

“The Trends Research Institute is the Standard and Poors of Popular Culture.” - The Los Angeles Times

“If Nostradamus were alive today, he’d have a hard time keeping up with Gerald Celente.” - New York Post

So there you have it - hardly a nutjob conspiracy theorist blowhard now is he? The price of not heeding his warnings will be far greater than the cost of preparing for the future now. Storable food and gold are two good places to make a start.

The Late Great USA - Dr. Thomas Ice

My son, fear the Lord and the king; do not associate with those who are given to change; for their calamity will rise suddenly, and who knows the ruin that comes from both of them?

-Proverbs 24:21-22

Former Clinton advisor and commentator Dick Morris announced: “On April 2, 2009, the work of July 4, 1776 was nullified at the meeting of the G-20 in London.”[1] That is an amazing statement and a tragedy if true. One of my best friends in the ministry, with whom I have co-authored two books, Mark Hitchcock wrote a book, which was finished before last November’s election, entitled The Late Great United States.[2] There are two other books listed on amazon.com with similar titles. Why are many concerned that our great country is on the verge of extinction?

Change
It is said after the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 that a lady asked Dr. Ben Franklin the following: “Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy. A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it.”[3] Well, apparently a growing number of Americans think that we have lost it after about 220 years. Some are suggesting that it was lost via suicide. What have we received in return for our once great republic? We are now part of an international oligarchy run by a bunch of global elites. How did this happen and when did this change take place?

Like many things that bring change, it has not taken place overnight. America has been gradually moving toward socialism for the last hundred years, but I do not want to trace that history in this article. I want to focus on recent events that are producing so much change since the election of Barack Obama as president of these United States.

Dick Morris notes that Obama at the recent meeting of the G-20 in London has agreed to enter the United States into an economical arrangement that will regulate our economy in terms of the international interests of this European dominated oligarchy at the expense of American interests. The agreement by which Obama has obligated the United States is called the Financial Stability Board (FSB), which is “a body of central banker from each of the G-20 states and the European Union.”[4] The head of the FSB is Mario Draghi, Italy’s central bank president. In a speech on February 21, 2009, he gave us clues to his thinking. He noted that “the progress we have made in revising the global regulatory framework . . . would have been unthinkable just months ago.”[5] “Obama, perhaps feeling guilty for the US role in triggering the international crisis, has, indeed, given away the store,” notes Morris. “Now we may no longer look to presidential appointees, confirmed by the Senate, to make policy for our economy. These decisions will be made internationally.”[6]

So what does this mean specifically for the American economy? Morris said to Greta Van Susteren on Fox News the following:

Literally from April 2nd of this year-that is, today-it’s a whole new world of financial regulation in which, essentially, all of the U.S. regulatory bodies and all U.S. companies are put under international regulation, international supervision. It really amounts to a global economic government.

. . . Just when Obama is accused of socialism, he’s essentially creating world economic governance. This means that the FSB, . . . will make the decisions on what standards our own SEC and Federal Reserve board should apply to all firms in the United States of any significant size about executive compensation, market activities, and a whole range of issues that used to be under free enterprise reserved for private decision making.[7]

A New World Order
In 1989 President George H. Bush spoke of a new world order in one of his speeches. However, it produced a flurry of criticism and he stopped using the term in public. Many have known for a long time that the phrase “new world order” is essentially a code word for global socialism. The last couple of years, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown can hardly give a speech without making reference to the new world order. During a speech he recently gave in conjunction with the G-20 summit in London, sounding like a twenty-first century Neville Chamberlain, Brown said the following about the new world order:

“This is Collective action, people working together at their best . . . I think the New World Order is emerging, and with it the foundations of a new and progressive era of international cooperation . . . From today we will together manage the process of globalization. . . . To secure responsibility from all and fairness to all.”[8]

In January 2009, Henry Kissinger made a remark about the new world order during an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” hosts Mark Haines and Erin Burnett at the New York Stock Exchange. When Burnett asked him what international conflict would define the Obama administration’s foreign policy, Kissinger said the following:

“The president-elect is coming into office at a moment when there is upheaval in many parts of the world simultaneously,” Kissinger responded. “You have India, Pakistan; you have the jihadist movement. So he can’t really say there is one problem, that it’s the most important one. But he can give new impetus to American foreign policy partly because the reception of him is so extraordinary around the world. His task will be to develop an overall strategy for America in this period when, really, a new world order can be created. It’s a great opportunity, it isn’t just a crisis.”[9]

No one can doubt that President Obama is currently taking advantage of the crisis. After all Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have both noted that a crisis is a terrible thing to waste.

Further the Chinese and Russians have called for a new global currency that would replace the dollar and would not represent any specific country. They want the new global currency to be issued by the World Bank, which is something that seemed impossible this time last year but now could be a very real possibility in the near future.

The European Union
Dick Morris not only emphasizes that the United States is now locked into the matrix of a global economic oligarchy but it is one that will be primarily under the control of the European Union. “You know, I’ve had a long experience in dealing with the European Union, and this is how they operate,” explains Morris. “And in the meantime, they slip this in under the radar, which is absolutely creating an international economic union.”[10] Then Morris concluded with amazement, “This truly creates a global economic system. From now on, don’t look to Washington for the rule making, look to Brussels.”[11]

Thus, from a prophetic view, the Bible teaches that the tribulation will a time in which there will be not only a global government during the last half of the seven-year tribulation, but that governance will emanate from the Revived Roman Empire. This means a Euro-centric power base is what we can expect and that is exactly what is developing. Morris concludes his article with the following comment:

The Europeans have been trying to get their hands on our financial system for decades. It is essential to them that they rein in American free enterprise so that their socialist heaven will not be polluted by vices such as the profit motive. Now, with President Obama’s approval, they have done it.[12]

Conclusion
Where are all of these explosive trends heading? As Bible prophecy predicts, there will be a one world government during the seven-year tribulation, headed by a person we know as the Antichrist. Since the Antichrist will arise out of the Revived Roman Empire, which the European Union appears to be setting the stage for just such an entity, we should not be surprised to see things trending in that direction even before the rapture.

Previously, the United States was often the one standing in the way of a global economy and government. We are not yet their for either, but who can doubt that since the beginning of the Obama presidency that we are indeed seeing change and moving into harmony with the one world government crowd. In the past the United States stood in the way and acted in her national interest, as I believe we should still do, but now we are the last domino to fall and nothing of significance appears to stand in the way of globalism. Only the future return of Christ after the tribulation will really bring change for Christians.

I have noticed on the internet that certain Bible prophecy ministries are noting the very things that I have just outlined and often call these things a “fulfillment” of Bible prophecy. Such language is an overstatement and an incorrect conclusion drawn from the signs of our times. Instead, it is best to see these events as preparation for fulfillment, which will take place during the tribulation that we are currently not yet in. We are seeing the stage being set for future events. Such stage-setting certainly is moving our pre-rapture world toward the one world government and economy that is predicted by Bible prophecy for this future time. There are so many events taking place each day one can hardly keep up with them. Nevertheless, we are to always be looking up for Him. Maranatha!
